This week, Baltimore: The Rise of Charm City visits a 188-year-old order of African American nuns, the Oblate Sisters of Providence, and St. Frances Academy, the still-thriving school they founded in 1828.
Rise of Charm City is an audio documentary series featuring the oral histories of businesses, landmarks, and neighborhoods in Baltimore City. These photos represent snapshots of voices shared over the course of the first season.
The show airs biweekly on Fridays at 11:30 a.m. during The Marc Steiner Show on WEAA 88.9 FM. It is also be available for download and streaming via Soundcloud, iTunes, Stitcher, and Acast.
